Within months of my new position at Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF), I was tasked with designing a full suite of promotional and event materials for DSF's largest event, the annual Gala. Feeling like the existing branding was lacking consistency, recognizability, and a lighthearted feel characteristic of our organization, the team and I set about refreshing the look and feel. I created a consistent wordmark, added recurring design elements, and refined the color scheme, which cascaded out to every facet of the event.

I solicited a new photographer that could capture the feel of the updated event and create stunning photos to use for future promotions. These photos, as well as my own, have been incorporated into marketing for campaigns and other galas.

We decided to add column appliques that could highlight key statistics and photos to introduce guests to the impact of DSF. These have helped create an immersive experience and excellent exposure for the work we do and the photos we take.

Last year's event was attended by dignitaries like Mayor Mike Johnston and Senator John Hickenlooper, as well as close to 1,000 other guests.
